Promote Your Practice
PNCMS-YSCMS serves as a patient referral service. Our staff receives calls and emails throughout the week from individuals looking for new primary or specialty physicians. PNCMS-YSCMS directs them to our society member doctors and/or to utilize our online member directory to find their new physician.

Protect Your Interest as a Physician
As the voice for doctors in Placer, Nevada, Yuba, Sutter, and Colusa, PNCMS-YSCMS advocates on behalf of physicians and patients. From giving testimony at Board of Supervisor meetings, to lobbying members of congress and the State Legislature, PNCMS-YSCMS ensures that physicians have a seat at the table when it comes to public policy impacting the profession of medicine.

Political Action (CALPAC)

Legal Services: CMA’s legal department provides members with information and resources about laws and regulations that impact the practice of medicine. While CMA staff cannot provide physicians with individual legal advice, our health law information specialists, with the support of CMA legal counsel, will help you find legal information and resources on a multitude of health-law related issues. Health Law Library: CMA’s Health Law Library has over 4,500 pages of up-to-date legal information for practicing physicians and is accessible free to members at cmadocs.org/health-law-library.


Practice Management Assistance: Experts from CMA’s Center for Economic Services provide free one-on-one assistance to members and their staff on reimbursement, contracting and practice management related issues.

Payor Contract Analysis: CMA members have free access to objective written analyses of major health plan contracts designed to help physicians understand their rights and optionswhen contracting with a third-party payor, as well as which contract provisions are prohibited by California law. Webinar Series: CMA’s webinar series gives physicians the opportunity to watch online presentations on important topics of interest and interact with legal and financial experts from the comfort of their homes or offices.
